Vanilla Islands or in French: Les Îles Vanille, is an affiliation of the islands of Seychelles, Madagascar, Réunion (France), Mauritius, Comoros and Mayotte (France) in the Indian Ocean to form a new travel destination brand. The Vanilla Islands marketing concept was created in 2010 under its first President, Mr. Alain St. Ange, than the Minister of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Seychelles.

Vanilla Islands aims to unify the islands of Comoros, Mauritius, Madagascar, La Reunion, Seychelles and Mayotte, under one tourism brand through the valorization of each of the islands unique selling propositions. The Organization aims to increase connectivity to and intra islands, create new multi-destination products and attract more visitors to the Indian Ocean.

In the Vanilla Islands you will find inspiration and discover:
Madagascar, the island continent, with Nosy Be, known for its beautiful old-growth forests where rosewood, camphor and ylang-ylang trees thrive.
– The Comoros, with Mayotte. This small French archipelago protected by a double barrier reef is the refuge of an incredibly rich fauna: dolphins, rays, giant turtles, and the region’s last dugongs can be observed here.
Seychelles with the world famous Aldabra Atoll, a largely untouched natural sanctuary listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, and smaller islands like Poivre and Alphonse, La Digue, a veritable picture-postcard of the Seychelles and of course Victoria, the capital.
Mauritius, the Indian Ocean island nation best known for its beaches, lagoons and reefs. Mauritius has some of he world’s bets golf courses. The mountainous interior of the island is covered in rainforests, waterfalls, hiking trails and wildlife like the flying fox.
Réunion Island, a French department in the Indian Ocean, known for its volcanic, rainforested interior, coral reefs and beaches. Its most iconic landmark is Piton de la Fournaise, a climbable active volcano standing 2,632m (8,635 ft).
